Supporting you through life’s losses, transitions and new beginnings
I specialise in working with:
• ADHD and neurodivergence
• Anxiety and depression
• Addiction (drug and alcohol)
• Relationship and marital challenges
• Personality-related difficulties
• LGBTQ+ clients
My work draws from Transactional Analysis (TA), EMDR, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and coaching — applied in a way that is tailored to you, not delivered as a fixed model.
What shapes my work is not just training — but lived experience.
I was diagnosed with ADHD and Generalised Anxiety Disorder at a young age, and later overcame addiction. I understand how overwhelming life can feel — especially when you’ve tried to deal with things before and nothing has truly shifted.
That experience allows me to connect quickly, cut through what isn’t working, and focus on what actually creates change.
My approach is direct, structured, and forward-moving.
Clients don’t come to me for endless talking.
They come because they want to move forward — even if previous attempts haven’t worked.
I hold a strong belief in your ability to make progress —
and my role is to help you do that in a way that is clear, practical, and lasting.
I’ve been practising since 2013, with experience across organisations including the NHS, The Priory Hospital, Mind, and the National Offender Management Service.
What began as a personal journey soon became something I felt called to share with others. I decided to train as a Reiki practitioner so that I could offer others the same opportunity to slow down, relax, and take some much-needed time for themselves.
Today, I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can relax, recharge, and reconnect with yourself. Whether you are feeling stressed or emotionally overwhelmed, or simply feel that you need some time to pause and restore a sense of balance, my intention is to support you with kindness and care.
I believe there is something very powerful in taking that first gentle step towards making time for yourself. It would be an honour to welcome you and support you on your own unique journey.
My Reiki journey began during a time when I was experiencing personal struggles and searching for a greater sense of peace, balance, and emotional support.
Life felt overwhelming, and I was drawn to Reiki as a gentle, holistic practice that offered me time and space to slow down and reconnect with myself.
As I began receiving Reiki, I noticed a positive shift in how I felt.
I found the sessions deeply calming and grounding, and they gave me valuable space to pause, reflect, and feel more able to cope with the challenges I was facing. Through this experience, I developed a deeper appreciation for the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and for the importance of making time for rest, self-care, and reflection.
After experiencing Reiki for myself, I decided to introduce my son to Reiki sessions during a time when he was struggling with anxiety.
Seeing how much he valued the calm and supportive space the sessions provided, alongside my own positive experiences, deepened my connection with Reiki and inspired me to learn more.
“Supporting you through life’s losses, transitions and new beginnings”
I believe everyone deserves to be listened to with warmth, compassion and without judgement. Reaching out for therapy can feel like one of the hardest steps to take, so my priority is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and exploring whatever has brought you to counselling.
Areas I can support you with
- Bereavement and grief
- Therapeutic menopause support
- Building self-compassion and emotional resilience
- Loss of identity and life transitions
- Retirement and later-life transitions
- Relationship changes
- Rediscovering yourself
My work centres around supporting people through life’s significant losses and transitions. Whether you are grieving the death of someone you love, experiencing the emotional impact of menopause, struggling with your sense of identity, or finding yourself at a crossroads in life, therapy can offer you the space to pause, reflect and find a way forward that feels right for you.
As a qualified counsellor with experience in both private practice and hospice bereavement counselling, I understand that loss comes in many forms. Grief is not only experienced after the death of someone we love. We can also grieve the loss of health, relationships, confidence, purpose, or even the person we once were.
Together, we can explore these experiences with kindness and curiosity, helping you make sense of difficult emotions, understand yourself more deeply and begin to discover what you need as you move forward.
Alongside grief and bereavement support, I offer therapeutic coaching for women experiencing the emotional and psychological challenges of menopause. Many women describe feeling as though they have lost a sense of who they are during this stage of life. Together, we can explore changes in identity, confidence, relationships and self-worth, helping you reconnect with yourself and approach this new chapter with greater understanding and self-compassion.
My approach is person-centred and grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. Every client is unique, so I tailor our work to you and your individual needs. Through reflection, compassion and greater self-awareness, we can work towards building resilience and creating meaningful, lasting change.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Reflective Therapeutic Practice and have a particular interest in self-esteem, feelings of inadequacy and self-compassion. I have also developed training for newly qualified counsellors exploring these themes, reflecting my passion for supporting both clients and fellow professionals in their personal growth.
Whether you’re living with grief, navigating menopause, experiencing a change in identity or simply feeling uncertain about the next chapter of your life, you don’t have to find your way through it alone. Whatever has brought you here, I would be privileged to walk alongside you as you discover your own way forward.
