Addiction Therapy

Recovery Is Possible. I Know Because I’ve Lived It.

Addiction is rarely the real problem.
It is often the solution we found to pain, anxiety, trauma, loneliness, shame, overwhelm, or emotional distress.
For a while it works.

Until it doesn’t.

What starts as relief slowly becomes a prison.

  • Promises are broken.
  • Relationships suffer.
  • Self-respect disappears.
  • Life gets smaller.

And eventually, many people begin to wonder whether they will ever be free of it.

I want you to know something:

Recovery is possible.

Not because I read it in a textbook. (I’ve done that too).
Because I have lived it.

More Than Professional Experience

I have worked with addiction professionally for many years.
But I have also experienced addiction personally.
I understand the lies addiction tells you.
The bargaining.
The guilt.
The shame.
The endless promises that “this will be the last time.”
I understand what it feels like to lose control and what it takes to get it back.
That lived experience allows me to connect with clients in a way that many professionals simply cannot.
There is no judgement here.
Only understanding, honesty, and a genuine belief that change is possible.

Addiction Is Not A Lack Of Willpower.

Many people believe they are weak because they cannot stop.
They are wrong.
Addiction is far more complex than that.
It affects the brain, emotions, behaviours, relationships, habits, and identity.
That is why simply “trying harder” rarely works.
Real recovery happens when we understand:
• what addiction is doing for you
• what pain sits underneath it
• what triggers it
• what keeps it alive
• and what needs to change to build a life where addiction is no longer needed

What I Help Clients Overcome.

I work with people struggling with many addiction challenges including:
• alcohol dependency
• Food
• Gaming
• Shopping
• Gambling
• Drug addiction
• Prescription medication misuse
• Compulsive behaviours
• Relapse cycles
• Emotional dependency
• Self-destructive patterns
Whether you have been struggling for months or decades, change is possible.

Intensive Addiction Therapy

Recovery often requires more than a weekly conversation.
For clients seeking deeper work, I also offer intensive sessions and immersive therapy retreats designed to accelerate progress and create lasting change.
These programmes provide the time, focus, and structure needed to break through years of addiction patterns in a concentrated period of time.

My Approach

My work is direct, compassionate, and focused on lasting recovery.
Not endless talking.
Not labels.
Not judgement.
Together we identify:
• the root causes
• the emotional drivers
• the destructive patterns
• and the practical steps needed to rebuild your life
This is about more than stopping a behaviour.
It is about creating a life you no longer need to escape from.

The Goal

The goal is not simply abstinence.
The goal is freedom.
Freedom from cravings.
Freedom from shame.
Freedom from the cycle that has been controlling your life.
A life where you wake up proud of who you are and where you are going.
Because addiction may be part of your story.
It does not have to be the rest of it.

Be Seen. Be Heard. Finally, Belong.

Ready for Things to Change?

If you’re tired of going in circles and ready to move forward, let’s start with a conversation.
